BA Strike: It's on

I've held back from posting this until pretty much the last minute in case the strike was called off.

Alas, all the negotiation has been for nothing, and the BA/Unite strike is going ahead.

You can keep abreast of cancelations and all the shenanigans at http://www.britishairways.com/travel/strike-ballot/public/en_gb?refevent=HOME_URGENT_CENTRE

BA Expect to run a 60% service, with a mix of workers, retrained crew and charters being brought in (for example, the LGW-GLA run will be subbed by Ryanair of all people). Expect shorthauls to be filled with charter capacity and long haul cancellations.

Hopefully at the end of this 3 day action, people will knock their heads together and try and avoid the 4 day action that is to follow.

If you're travelling, involved at any level and any side - good luck for the next few days.
