AF: Another day, another A380 depolyment

It seems that Air France is still enjoying life with it's Engine Alliance powered A380's, and have announced the next destination they will server - Paris CDG to Washington Dulles.

This will consiolidate two departures into one, operating as

FLIGHT FROM  TO   DEPART  ARRIVE
AF028  CDG   IAD  10:40   13:00
AF039  IAD   CDG  16:25   05:45+1

Route commences: 06/06/2011.

Codeshares available via Alitalia, Delta, and KLM and operated with the Joint Venture that the SkyTeam carriers have between them

Air France operates it's A380 fleet out to Johannesburg, Montreal, New York, and Tokyo as well.

Well the economics of the A380 are starting to come into play - by rationaling costs and deploying one aircraft instead of two. The only people who might loose out are the travellers who now are forced to use one departure only, or switch to another airline (with United operating to CDG, Openskies operating to ORY)
