And we're waiting to see IF Air India can pull a rabbit out of it's hat, meet Star Alliance joining criteria, and formally be ready to join.

And they've got until the 31st July to do it.

Will it happen? That's a very good question - one that I suspect Air India cannot answer itself.......

According to The Hindu Business Times, some of the Star Alliance members are opposed to Air India joining - and a safety row may be at the heart of it according to Travel Business Monitor

Doesn't bode well....
